Arrangements for the by-surveys on 20 seats of Punjab Assembly booked to be hung on July 17 are in the last stage as the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has finished the printing of 5,000,000 voting form papers - conveyance of which to the returning officials will begin from Wednesday (today).


On May 20, the political race boss had de-situated 25 MPAs of the PTI for opposing party orders and deciding in favor of Hamza Shahbaz for the post of the Punjab boss priest.


The reference against the protester officials sent by Punjab Assembly Speaker Pervaiz Elahi was acknowledged by the ECP for disregarding Article 63-A which related to deserting. The July 17 by-decisions will be held in PP-7, PP-83, PP-90, PP-97, PP-125, PP-127, PP-140, PP-158, PP-167, PP-168, PP-170, PP-202, PP-217, PP-224, PP-228, PP-237, PP-272, PP-273, PP-282 Layyah and PP-288 bodies electorate.


With the PTI claiming that endeavors are being made to fix the by-surveys, the ECP had reported that the practice in 20 voting demographics of the territory would be hung based on old discretionary rolls.


As of now, the PTI needs to win around 14 seats to recover the sought after office from PML-N, while losing anything else than six seats would mean counts on free movers to switch sides which, given the current conditions, appears to be an impossible likelihood. For the two sides, tearing back to the post would likewise guarantee their new orders in the following general decisions.
